TERMS & CONDITIONS
Any cancellations or notified changes must be made at least 28 days prior to the date of the event in writing.If you fail to cancel your booking before this date you maybe charged the full fee.
The date securing fee will not be refunded under any circumstances.
Paying a non-refundable date securing fee for your event or function is a 100% binding guarantee of contract. Any non payment of a deposit could result in the loss of your booking without prior notice.
The client is also responsible for any damage to our equipment caused by any person at your event. You maybe charged for the full cost of any repairs required should the damage be due to the negligence of your guests. You will be advised of any damage as soon as it is caused.
We do not tolerate violent, aggresive or abusive behaviour from anyone under any circumstances. We also reserve the right to terminate our services at any time that we feel our personal safety is under threat. We do not take responsibility for ejecting any unwanted persons from the venue.
You will be advised of any problems that we may have in this respect with any of your guests.
In the event of fire, flooding, public distubance, terrorist activity or any other threat to the public, we will not be responsible to help in any way or evacuate any venue or building where we are present and / or working within, unless the fire regulations for the venue specify otherwise. This would normally be way of a spoken announcemenet by the DJ.
The balance of the booking fee must be paid in cash before the start of the performance. If you wish to pay by cheque we require this 7 days in advance of the booking date.
Failed payment of any fees up to 14 days after the event will be result in further legal action.
We need roughly 1.5 hours to enter a venue and setup prior to the start time and also a similar time allowance at the end of the night to pack up. This time can be reduced if access is good and we are familiar with the venue. It is the hirer / bookers responsibility to make the necessary arrangements, or request that we make the arrangements on your behalf (the venue will need to agree) with the venue to allow us time to setup before your guests start to arrive.
If you are booking any other entertainment (e.g. singer, comedian,band etc) as well as hiring ourselves, please consider and think about the amount of space available and where you are going to put the disco. Speaker location is usually best if it is no greater than 10 metres either side from the position of the presenter.
We also reserve the right to refuse to continue any event prior to the start should there not be sufficient floor space which would not allow the audio / lighting equipment to be assembled safely and which through no fault of our own we believe to cause a hazard to either ourselves or your guests.
We reserve the right to substitute alternative equipment should uncontrollable circumstances dictate the need to do so.
We will not be responsible for any damage or loss to private property caused by invited guests or members of the public.
All roadshow equipment that is used is checked prior to arrival and has been fully tested for safety by a qualified electrical engineer. If we are linking our equipment within a fixed in-house audio system, we may reserve the right to refuse to do so if the equipment is considered by ourselves to be unsafe in our opinion likely to cause harm to either ourselfs or one of your guests through its continued use.
We operate at all times with public liability insurance cover. This cover provides protection for both the staff working for us and your guests. Our cover is only applicable to accidents or occurrences directly involving equipment or actions that form part of Sounds Sensational Roadshow. At no time will our insurance cover any accidents caused by the negligence of the venue, your guests or any other party or service provided at your venue.
All bookings should be taken on the understanding that the venue is in possession of the necessary entertainment and liquor licenses. We are not responsible if the venue is found to be in breach of the terms of their license.
In the event of our DJ not being able to attend due to illness,we will find a reputable disco to stand in on a non commission basis.a DJ with a reliable and professional show will be sent at no extra cost to you.
We reserve the right to alter any or all of above at any time.
